Library Program

Bring your 2015 HERO themed programs to life with one of the following themed programs or choose your own theme. Please indicate theme choice on your program request form.

SUPERHEROES! Learn first-hand about the powers of Spiderman, Superman and Ironman! How do spiders crawl up walls and on the ceiling? What animal has Superman's super-eyesight? Learn about wild animals that have armor like Ironman in this fun, animal encounter program.

Become an ANIMAL HERO! You can be a hero too, for the critters in your own backyard. We'll share ways to empower kids to become a hero for the animals while also sharing stories of how animals have helped save humans.

John Ball Zoo's Library Traveling Zoo Program consists of a 45-60 minute live animal presentation with animal biofacts (i.e. skulls, furs, turtle shells, etc.) and a take-home bookmark. Programs are available year round to all public libraries and are best suited for individuals 5 years of age and up. We recommend the number of participants to be 150 or less.

Program fees are $95 per program plus an additional $1.00 per mile travel fee (includes mileage and staffing cost). We have adjusted the pricing structure to align with the price of other JBZoo traveling zoos done for schools and community groups. Library animal presentations will now feature FOUR of our animal ambassadors.
