Overnight Adventures
See
the zoo in a new light and have a fun-filled, nocturnal learning adventure!
Come to the zoo after hours and enjoy a variety of activities – sneak
a peak on a guided behind the scenes tour, get an up-close look at an animal
demonstration, enjoy hands-on activities and even make a little something
for the animals to eat the following morning. Pack up your sleeping bags
and camp out on the covered deck of our chimp exhibit or in the bomas of
the lion exhibit. Programs typically run from 6:30 pm - 9 am the following
morning. Activities, evening snack, breakfast, a souvenir, and admission
to the zoo following the overnight are included in the program costs.
We offer a variety of Overnight Adventure programs for scout or community
groups, individual youth and families. Find the program below that matches
your needs and join us for an overnight adventure at the zoo. The cost for
members and groups are $45/person. Non-members are $50/person.

a fun way to earn your badges? Come after hours to the zoo and do activities
to help earn your badge while learning about animals and zoo operations!
These programs are available to scout and community groups of 12-40 individuals.

Brownie Try-It Badges: Animals; Eco Explorer; Outdoor Adventurer ; Ready,
Set, Go Camping!; & Water Everywhere.
Junior Activity Badges: Camp Together; Earth Connections; Outdoor Fun; Pet
Care; Plants and Animals; Wildlife; Your Outdoor Surroundings; & Water
Wonders.
Cub Scout Achievements: Your Living World (Wolf); Let's Go Outdoors (Tiger);
& Sharing Your World with Wildlife (Bear).

Youth Overnights
In conjunction with our Summer Discovery day programs, we also offer overnight adventures to individual youth in grade 3-8. These programs are typically on Friday or Saturday nights throughout the summer. They start at 5:30 pm and end at 9:00 am the following morning. Enjoy activities including games, keeper talks, night tours, live animal demonstrations and more. Evening snack and breakfast are included. Two adults supervise a group of up to 18 students for each program.
