Yes! Monkey Island Café is Open!
Monkey Island Café stays open during zoo hours to provide various food and beverage items to visitors. As the spring starts up we offer a limited menu of snack and lunch options. If you have questions about what is currently on the menu, please call (616) 336-4326.
Monkey Island Café accepts cash, checks, and Visa/MasterCard and Discover. If you are a John Ball Zoo Member, please remember to show your Membership Card at the time of purchase to receive your 10% discount!
All 2012 souvenir containers expired at the end of last year. Make sure you purchase your 2013 souvenir early and use it all summer!
Did you know that you can pre-order lunches for the day you bring your group to the zoo?
For only $4.00 per meal you can receive brown bag lunches for your group! You can pick between a hot or cold lunch options. The hot lunch contains a hot dog, cheese crackers, animal cookies and fruit punch with all appropriate condiments. The cold lunch contains a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich on white bread, cheese crackers, animal cookies and fruit punch. These lunches will be ready at the time you designate!

Payment accepted when you pick up lunches at the Monkey Island Cafe. We accept Cash, Check or Credit Card (make all checks payable to John Ball Zoo Society). Minimum order is only 12 lunches!
